Original, 84mm Carl Gustav A/Tk Gun, British Army User Handbook.

These are original, British Army issued, User Handbooks for the 84mm, Carl Gustav, Anti-Tank Gun, L14A1 (the famous - or 'infamous' - 'Charlie Gee'). Dated 1968. This Swedish, recoiless, anti-tank weapon, was adopted by the British Army in the 1960's as their main, man portable, infantry anti tank gun and issued at a scale of 1 per section in Western Europe. Weighing in at a substantial 35lbs plus ammunition (although it often seemed more!), the Charlie Gee was a horror to carry but a joy to fire, and in its day highly effective against all but the heaviest of frontal armour. These handbooks, in near mint condition, contain 95 pages of information, with many clear illustrations, on statistics, using the weapon, stripping, cleaning and servicing, tools and accessories and ammunition. Also included is a section on the 6.5mm sub-calibre training devices. Sized 210 x 148mm, soft back with brown card covers, staple bound. Army Code AC14985. Stock No TRNGMAN4.
