Written by the Australian author Ian D Skennerton, the Small Arms Identification Series of books, along with his many other published titles (many sadly no longer in print) form a body of work which is a 'must have' on the bookshelf of any enthusiast, collector, shooter or gunsmith dealing with British Empire era small arms. Ian is rightly regarded as a foremost authority in this field and his research is meticulous and his sources widespread.
The S.A.I.S's are each self contained guides to the weapon(s) in the title, offering exploded diagrams, illustrated parts lists, user guides to stripping and assembling, brief histories and evolutions of the subject. These are highly recommended! Please note that some titles in the series are now out of print unfortunately. We aim to keep stocks of as many of these titles as we can, but if there is a gap in the series it is because we simply have not got any left!
